Erin Moran was just 14 when she signed on to play Joanie Cunningham, the feisty little sister of Richie Cunningham in the hit Seventies show Happy Days.
But while child actor Ron Howard, who played Richie, has since gone on to become an A-list Hollywood producer and director, his on-screen ‘sister’ has fallen on much harder times.
Moran, 51, was photographed looking worse for wear outside a Holiday Inn in Corydon, Indiana, after reportedly being kicked out of the trailer she shared with her husband Steve Fleischmann.

Fallen on hard times: Moran and her husband Steve Fleishchmann are bouncing from one motel to another
The National Enquirer reported back in June that the couple had moved into the ‘rundown trailer park’ after losing their California home to foreclosure.
‘Erin was going out to bars and coming home at all hours of the night, sometimes with her rowdy bar friends, and Steve’s mom just couldn’t take it anymore,’ a source told The National Enquirer.
Evicted: The 51-year-old former child star was reportedly kicked out of the trailer she was sharing with her mother-in-law who objected to Moran’s ‘hard-partying ways’
The publication claimed Erin is now ‘bouncing’ from motel to motel – most recently a Holiday Inn Express in Corydon, Indiana.
In
the photographs, taken about two weeks ago, Moran – who has not aged
well – is seen walking in a grey T-shirt and plaid shorts, a cigarette
hanging out of her mouth.
She stands outside the motel with her husband Steve, who is also smoking, both of them looking worse for wear.
In other shots, Moran sits smoking with another man on a bench with two Great Danes.
All washed up: The aging actress has not worked in a long time, having last appeared in Celebrity Fit Club 2008
Moran played fresh-faced Joanie in the sitcom Happy Days, which started in 1974 and ran for almost a decade.
She
continued the role in 1982 in the short-lived spinoff Joanie Loves
Chachi, alongside Scott Baio, until its cancellation the following
year.
Since then, Moran’s career has all
but stalled, with the exception of several television guest spots, and
an appearance in the 2007 independent comedy feature Not Another B
Movie.
Payout: Moran and her husband are said to be living off a settlement payout from CBS
Tough times: Moran’s role as Joanie in the sitcom Happy Days ran from 1974 for almost a decade
In 2008, she was a contestant on VH1′s reality show Celebrity Fit Club.
Moran
and her husband are understood to be living off a dwindling sum of
money which was the result of a payout springing from a lawsuit filed by
several Happy Days cast members in April 2011.
The aging actress and three of her Happy Days co-stars, Don Most, Anson Williams and Marion Ross, plus the estate of Tom Bosley, who died in 2010, filed a $10 million breach-of-contract lawsuit against CBS, which owns the show.

Dog Days: The former actress is said to be near destitution as her last savings dwindle
The suit claimed that cast members had not been paid for merchandising revenues owed under their contracts.
In
July 2012, the actors settled their lawsuit with CBS. Each received a
payment of $65,000 and a promise by CBS to continue honoring the terms
of their contracts.

Erin had it all at one time. Really sad to read how her life has turned out. She looks 70, not 51

If she didn’t smoke and didn’t have two huge dogs to feed she would be much better off!

I feel really sorry for her. She was a real presence on the show. Shame things didn’t work out for her. Falling through the cracks can be bad enough but worse when you used to be well known.

Some just waste money and never look to tomorrow, she must have made a fortune in her time but has clearly wasted it,she should have made allowances for these lean times.I know very little about the acting fraternity but I do acknowledge that they are usually two minute wonders and that very few make a living out of it into their old age. Very sad all the same.

Got to laugh at the DM…..´not aged well´…surely what you mean is that she does not have the money to indulge herself in expensive beauty treatments, surgical proceedures, botox, private chefs, and who only knows what else famous and wealthy women use to ´hold back´the ageing process…..good grief give the woman a break!!
