In the ten days since the celebrities arrived in the Australian jungle, they have mainly had to rely on the temerity of Helen Flanagan, the contestant the public love to torment, to quite literally, bring home the bacon.

However, a mixture of ineptitude, fear and general futileness has prevented the Coronation Street actress from from picking up many stars during her seven Bushtucker Trials.

But it seems that tempers are not the only thing being lost as tummies continue to rumble, but inches, too.

Hourglass: The lack of food in the jungle has given Helen Flanagan’s waist more definition

Photographs of the 22-year old actress reveal she now boasts a much slimmer silhouette than when she arrived at the camp on November 11th.

The petite actress was washing her hair in a red bikini when her sudden weight loss became apparent.

Helen’s waist was narrow when she first landed in Australia, but is now even tinier after nearly two weeks without eating processed food.

As she moved around in the shower, it became obvious that she had also lost inches on her bum and thighs, causing her bikini bottoms to look quite loose.

Similarly, her top seemed to be baggier than previous times she has been seen wearing it in the leafy compound.

Speaking to New Magazine last month, Helen revealed she was content with her shape the way it was.

She said:’I’m quite happy with my weight. I think it’s bad to be too obsessed with your weight or how you look.

‘I really like my body the way it is.
I’m 8½st and I’m 5ft 4in, so that’s perfect for my height. I’ve got
natural boobs as well.’

If anything, she was probably hoping
that all the sitting around in the jungle and eating various insects
would help her gain a few pounds.

She told the magazine: ‘I’d love my bum to be bigger, like Kim Kardashian’s! I love curves.’

Love the professional poses in the shower…not. talk about vain. She,d be better off consentrating on getting some grub for her campmates instead of admiring herself all the time .If she doesn,t mind going without food she can always tell the others she doesn,t want her share. But there again perhaps that,s a bit too complecated to grasp.

I could have swore that there were twelve (now 11) celebrities in the jungle. Instead we seem to be subjected to day after day of reports on Helen Flannagan and her histrionics, along with page afterpageofpotos of her in her bikini. Well DM Im beginning to think that some of your employees have a sideline as Agents for non celebrities as you’re doing more to further her career as a glamour model when she leaves the jungle than she could ever do for herself. Please give it a rest and report on someone other that the brat that is Helen Flannagan.

If you or someone in your household has had your television turned to sports anytime in the last week, you’ve no doubt seen the latest commercial from DirectTV (see above), in which a horribly bedraggled man wearing the world’s worst bathrobe badgers his wife about the fact that he hasn’t gotten to see her naked in awhile. The spot is ostensibly about how you need to subscribe to DirectTV so you can avoid arguments over whose programs are taking up more space on the DVR, but we can’t help but wonder if an overloaded DVR is the least of this couple’s issues.

The spot is clearly targeted at men, as the protagonist of the spot is the aforementioned bathrobe enthusiast (that and the fact that the commercial seemingly only runs during sports). However, we would have a hard time believing that any individual of any gender would voluntarily identify with the loutish bathrobe-clad douche, what with his passive aggressive swipes about his lack of DirectTV, his downright disdain for his (sorta sexy) wifey, and his stunningly unattractive tooth brushing style. Is it any wonder that his wife would abstain from sexual relations with the poor man’s Rob Huebel, a guy who whines incessantly about the importance of “his” shows and wears flimsy bathrobes purchased from the clearance rack at an outlet mall? We can’t help but feel like a DirectTV Divorce is on the horizon for these two. Conflict boxes, indeed.

Rachel Hunter was already suffering heartbreak due to her engagement to Canadian ice-hockey player Jarret Stoll being called off.

But the mother-of-two faced physical heartache when she was faced with a life-threatening condition that made her heart dangerously swell.

Moving on: Rachel admitted that the split was a good thing although she was devastated at the time

Rachel,
43, who was pictured in her native New Zealand, on Monday, suffered
from several health problems a year after her break-up and spent a lot
of time in hospital.

The model told Hello! magazine: ‘I had a cold and I just felt out of breath and a little bit weird.

‘I went to a friend and said, ‘Look, you need to take me to the emergency room’. I was diagnosed with myocarditis and pericarditis, which can happen when you have the flu.

Rachel said that exercising while having
the flu can cause anyone to be killed by the illness, but she was
unaware of this before she was diagnosed.

After being treated for her
myocarditis and pericarditis, she was nursed back to health, but found
herself again needing medical attention.

The ex-wife of Rod Stewart had two slipped discs and had to undergo surgery to fix her complication.

Rachel described the time that she split from Jarret as an ‘emotional rollercoaster’, but she admits it was the right thing to do.

She told the magazine: ‘ I actually didn’t realise at the time that it affected me as much as it did.

‘He was right in the decision he made, as hard as that was for me to realise then.’

Following the split, Rachel moved back to Auckland where she is a judge on New Zealand’s Got Talent.

However, she is not the only person who has suffered a broken heart as her ex husband Rod also said that she once broke his.

The singer said in his autobiography,
which is being published later this month: ‘I lost 12lbs and took to
lying on the sofa with a hot-water bottle against my chest.

‘For four months, it was like some kind of 19th century romantic fever.’

He added: ‘I think of my marriage now as eight amazing years spent with someone I deeply loved.

‘At the heart of those years was a girl who was too young… and who eventually needed to spread her wings.’

DM not up your usual woman-hating rubbish are you? Just last week there was a multi page photo shoot and interview with Rachel Hunter in Hello magazine where she looked more beautiful than she has for years. I keep seeing endless photos in DM’s right-hand column of women out without make-up, getting on with their daily lives with an accompanying commentary from the DM suggesting that these women are past their best / have failed in some way. I wish they would stop.
