Kendra Wilkinson didn’t need an prescription to conquer a bout of postpartum depression – just a dose of cardio with a side of clean eating.

The former Girls Next Door star – who welcomed son Hank IV with hubby Hank Baskett IV in 2009 – openly discusses her struggles adjusting to motherhood and the difficulty of dropping the dreaded baby weight.

Not only did the buxom bombshell feel that the pregnancy ruined her famous figure but she also felt both internal and external pressure to return to her pre-baby bod only weeks after baby Hank was born.

Kendra reveals that carrying the extra pounds caused her to dress and act differently and become someone she wasn’t.

I felt like I had to be a different person. I had to be conservative and wear turtlenecks and be someone that I wasn’t. Now that I have my body back and I feel good again, I have the perfect amount of balance. It’s all about finding the balance. It got pretty bad, (but) not to the point where I would harm my family. I was a great mom and did what I needed to, but I was definitely very depressed. (Motherhood is) a big change in life and it happened overnight. “

Kendra claims the daily struggles of being a new mom coupled with the scrutinous public eye only seemed to exacerbate her depression.

“At the time I was doing whatever I could for the baby, but I lost myself and it was really frustrating. Being in the spotlight is a lot of pressure about losing the weight, (especially) coming from the Playboy world.” she says.

Although the former Playboy Playmate has regained her shapely physique and unwavering confidence, she still feels that postpartum depression in an issue that needs more recognition and awareness.

“A lot of women suffer from PPD (postpartum depression). It needs to be talked about.”

Minka Kelly Offered Free Plastic Surgery

933cd BBC 0271512 Minka Kelly Offered Free Plastic SurgeryMINKA Kelly has revealed how she was once approached by a former Playboy Playmate and offered free plastic surgery in order to become a pin-up herself.

“I was 19. She was very seductive and said that she wanted to manage me and that I had a lot of potential,” said Kelly. “She said that she could get me a job at this doctor’s office in return for plastic surgery, which I would need to be a Playboy Playmate.”

The plan was for the actress to get all the alterations needed to be the perfect Playmate. This would include a lengthy list of procedures such as liposuction, breast implants and veneers for her teeth.

Kelly did take the job, but after a month there realized that going under the knife just wasn’t for her.

“When I told her that I didn’t want that, she said I would never be Playmate of the Year and I said, ‘I think that’s okay. I’m okay with that’,” she said.

Kendra Wilkinson: "I Had Sex On A Jet Ski"

Former The Girls Next Door starlet Kendra Wilkinson seems to be anything but traditional when it comes to the boudoir. The sassy Sliding Into Home author – who’s second book Being Kendra: Cribs, Cocktails and Getting My Sexy Back comes out this week – dishes to US Weekly about the main topics in her follow-up book: Her battle with postpartum depression, her struggles to drop the baby weight and of course, her sizzling sex life with hubby Hank Baskett.

Kendra reveals that sex in the bedroom seems a little blah for the couple, who married in 2007 at the Playboy Mansion.

“[My husband Hank Baskett and I] try to limit being in the bedroom as much as possible,” Kendra divulges. “We think about sleep [there] instead of sex, so we venture off into different places like the kitchen and the Jacuzzi.”

So where does Hugh Hefner’s ex prefer to make love to her NBA superstar?

Hank and I had sex on a jet ski in Cabo! It was awesome… That’s the fun of it. Sex is sex… I’m not a PDA person, but I like sex in cars and stuff!”

Although the mom-of-one enjoys private time with her main man, she admits that her libido is swayed by sleep since the birth of her sweet son Hank IV in 2009.

“I love sex. But you know, it’s hard now with a baby. When you find that time, sex is not really the first thing you wanna think about. [It's] sleep!”

Life wasn’t always so exciting for this 26-year-old former Playboy playmate. In the weeks proceeding Hank Jr.’s birth in 2009, Kendra suffered the crippling effects of postpartum depression, finding it difficult to enjoy her new baby boy.

In her first book, the blonde bombshell reveals how she had suffered from depression and drug addiction in her past and in her second book, she discusses the unsettling similarities between those feeling and the postpartum depression she endured when her sweet son Hank IV made his debut in 2009.

I know this sounds selfish or whatever but it’s the truth. Like, I just felt that nobody…that everybody kinda went to the baby and was like where’s the baby, where’s the baby… baby, baby, baby, which was, that’s the way it should be but I felt like I was very alone and no one was kind of rubbing or asking how I was doing, how I was feeling. That wasn’t why I was depressed but that added to it. I felt like I was very alone.”

Kendra continues to discuss her struggles to lose the dreaded baby weight and the pressures to return to her svelte pre-baby body after Hank IV was born.

“I was 107 before I had baby Hank,” she reveals. “I was almost 170 by the time I had Hank. After giving birth, I was like oh, it’s gonna come right off, which 9 lbs and 5 oz did, but the rest sat there for 9 months.”

So is another baby in the couple’s future?

“Am I read for a second baby? Yah,” Kendra reveals. “Am I ready right now? No.”
