Heidi Klum may have embarked on a new romance with her bodyguard, but she is certainly no damsel in distress when it comes to faffing around in the honeymoon period.
Instead, the German-born supermodel
arrived at the Emmys on Sunday flying solo, leaving boyfriend Martin Kristen to play nanny to two of her four children, looking after Leni, eight, and Johan, five.
The 39-year-old happily posed outside the Nokia Theatre alone, looking stunning in a plunging sea foam coloured Alexandre Vauthier designed gown with a daring split to the thigh.

Steady there! Heidi looked a little wobbly using her iPhone, while partner Martin looked after her children
And as her former security
guard-turned-lover took on the role of stepfather, Heidi didn’t hold
back as she sipped champagne and looked a little wobbly while trying to
take a picture on her iPhone.
Luckily, Heidi didn’t trip on the floaty gown which trailed at her feet, as her long toned legs helped her to keep balance in a pair of strappy Charlotte Olympia heels.
Her shoulder-length blonde hair was teased into soft curls and subtle make-up completed the look, along with Lorraine Schwart earrings.
Heidi missed out on a nomination for the Outstanding Host for a Reality Programme category this year, but her show Project Runway was nominated for Outstanding Reality-Competition Programme.

After she lost out to The Amazing
Race, Heidi tweeted: ‘Congratulations @AmazingRace_CBS on your win!
Tough competition at the #Emmys this year! We’ll get it next year
@ProjectRunway!
‘It takes endurance to lose 8 times! Go @ProjectRunway. Still an honor to be nominated! #Emmys’.
The television personality admitted
for the first time this month that she and Kristen were seeing each
other, although did stop short of calling the romance a ‘relationship’
during the Katie Couric interview.
Heidi
explained on Couric’s self-titled talk show that her romance with Martin had ‘just
started’, after she was quizzed over whether she was in a ‘proper relationship’.
She said: ‘I don’t even know if I can call it that. I don’t know.’
Stepfather-to-be? Leni and Johan were treated to a stroll in Brentwood while their mother partied
Show off! Heidi tweeted this snap, saying: ‘In the limo on the way to the #Emmys! So happy this day has come’
Klum then elaborated on her friendship with Martin, whom she has known for four years.
‘He’s cared for our entire family, mostly for our four children, helped us tremendously,’ she said.
Obviously confident with the direction they are heading in, Heidi trusted him with her children and was happy to venture out alone to the star-studded event.
Before the ceremony, she tweeted: ‘In
the limo on the way over to the #Emmys! So happy this day has finally
come. Go @ProjectRunway!’ she wrote on her Twitter page, before the
ceremony’
