Peter Andre recently camped out with his kids in the garden, only to find they preferred staying in the tent rather than the log cabin. Speaking of his two children with Katie Price, Princess, 4, and Junior, 6, and her 9-year-old son Harvey, the Mysterious Girl singer revealed the fun night the group had.
He said, “Last week, I mentioned I’d had a log cabin built in the garden for the kids, so I was very excited about having all three to stay at the weekend. We had a wonderful time, but they ended up spending more time in this little £70 tent I’d bought from a shop up the road than in the cabin – which let’s just say cost a lot more. Thanks, guys!”
He added, “Harvey, Junior, Princess and I all sat outside and toasted marshmallows, then we had a snooze for a couple of hours in some sleeping bags I’d bought. It was great fun!”
Andre is a supporter of the British charity Caudwell Childen. In an column he wrote for New! magazine he wrote: “I recently went to a ball with my pals held in aid of Caudwell Children. The businessman who founded the charity, John Caudwell, is an amazing man and all the money he raises goes towards helping disabled kids and their families.
“I gave a speech and talked about the song ‘Mr Wendal’ by Arrested Development, which has the line, ‘Here, have a dollar, in fact, no, brotherman, have two/ Two dollars means a snack for me, but it means a big deal to you.’ I was trying to make the point that nothing is too little, so whatever you can give, just give.”
