Ella Henderson remains dignified following her X Factor exit as she mingles with James Arthur at Amy Winehouse Foundation Ball

She became the shock exit on The X Factor on Sunday night, after initially being labelled as the favourite to win this year’s show.

But teenager Ella Henderson has managed to remain dignified since departing the series.

And she’s already getting used to her new found showbiz lifestyle, despite no longer being part of the programme.

On Tuesday night the 16-year-old mingled with a host of stars as she was invited to the Amy Winehouse Foundation Ball, even rubbing shoulders with James Arthur, the man who was saved instead of her on Sunday night’s X Factor.

But she seems to have accepted the shock as she looked perfectly happy and content as she posed up on the pink carpet.

She wore a cute navy velvet dress with belt detailing, tights and boots, while her hair was worn up in her staple bouffant half up ‘do.

Ella posed with her hand on her hip as she composed herself for the attention she would no doubt be receiving.

And James Arthur was also among the guests in honour of the late Back To Black singer.

He wore a a suit jacket with skinny jeans and a thin tie as he turned out at the bash at London’s Dorchester Hotel.

Ladies in black: Patsy Palmer, Emma Noble and Keira Chaplin also opted for dark glamorous ensembles for the ball on Tuesday evening

Among the other stars were firmer Made In Chelsea star Kimberley Garner, who ignored the predominant black tie theme by standing out in a bright coral frock.

The floorlength gown did, of course, show off her back while she bared even more flesh with the very high side-split.

Catalina Guirado also went for bright as she wore a similar pink gown to the bash.

Following the theme: Most of the guests, such as singers Paloma Faith and Mica Paris, also opted for classic evening dress

Although the majority of the guests kept to dark evening dress.

Winehouse’s Goddaughter Dionne Bromfield looked grown up in her floorlength black number with side split and red shoes, while Mica Paris also went for an all black ensemble.

Union J’s Jaymi Hensley has revealed he is gay – and said mentor Louis Walsh inspired him to come out.

The X factor finalist has been in a relationship with his boyfriend, a hairdresser, for three years and said they plan to marry and have children.

Jaymi, 22, said: ‘Every boyband has got to have a gay one! And Louis just said: “Do it!”‘

Bandmates Josh Cuthburt, George Shelley and Jamie Hamblett have known since Union J were dreamed up and fully support his decision.

Speaking to The Sun On Sunday the boyband member said: ‘I didn’t want to do it in five year’s time when I have a career. I don’t think anyone should have to hide who they are.’

Jaymi, who has decided not to name his 21-year-old boyfriend, said he came out to his parents when he was 14 and is thankful that he has never had any negative comments.

He added: ‘I don’t want people to think I have hidden this to gain votes because I am so proud of who I am.’

The heartthrob is not the only openly gay finalist in this year’s show – he joins Rylan Clark, Lucy Sparggan and jade Ellis.

But he said his decision to come out publicly was inspired by a young fan who tweeted him asking if the rumours he was gay were true.

Jaymi said he wanted to encourage people to be who they are so decided to reveal all.

And being thrust into the spotlight has been a little tricky for Jaymi, who has struck up a close freindship with Katie Price.

After being spotted with six girls from ITV hit show Take Me Out the singer’s boyfriend rang him asking him what he had been up to.

But he added X Factor bosses and mentor Louis had been a great help with his decision.

‘If I can help just one kid out, that’s enough for me.’

They have a squeaky clean image, but one member of Little Mix could soon be known as a Little Minx as it has been claimed Jade Thirlwall cheated on her boyfriend.

Purple-haired Jade is thought to have betrayed her Diversity star boyfriend Sam Craske with X Factor reject Derry Mensah from The Risk.

Ladies man Mensah is believed to have wooed the 19-year-old during the early stages of her relationship with the dancer in April on the X Factor tour.

A spokesman for the Little Mix star said she had only become serious with boyfriend Craske after the tour, despite being photographed embracing him in April.

Jade is still with her Diversity star boyfriend and recently gushed about him in an interview saying she trusts him completely.

All together now: Jade looked like her usual self in full make-up as she performed with Little Mix in London

Speaking of James Arthur, the singer said: ‘I think he’s a really raw talent and everytime he gets a sing he just makes it his own.’

But Jade revealed she also has a soft spot for this year’s controversial contestant, Rylan Clarke.

‘The X Factor isn’t just about your voice and it’s about your personality and being a star. People love him. Even if he doesn’t win he’ll get a lot of work out of it so good on him.’
